This dataset shows the average distance to the nearest park, public garden or playing field in metres. Data is based on analysis of Ordnance Survey (OS) data on access to private gardens, public parks and playing fields in Great Britain, available by country, region, Local Authority and Lower Layer Super Output Area. Note: There are some areas which are not covered by the source data which leads to small amounts of missing LSOA data.

In Buckinghamshire residents are on average 440m from their nearest park, public garden, or playing field. This is greater than the average for all local authorities (380m), the South East (390m) and England (382m).

 

Residents in the 2023 ward of Booker, Cressex, and Castlefield are the closest (264m), and those in Farnham Common and Burnham Beeches are the furthest (819m).
